The 2013 Honda Fit

One of the most trendy and gas efficient car models of the year is the 2013 Honda Fit. With many people looking to spend less on gas, but still look trendy and sporty, a Honda fit from Honda of Pasadena offers plenty of features for those looking for an innovative vehicle.

The Honda Fit is also most known for its safety features that include front 3-point seat belts with automatic tensioning system that ride across the lap and chest. The vehicle is installed with Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control, which allows the driver to maintain control of the vehicle with wheel slippage during oversteer or understeer conditions. The system restores the vehicle back to the driver’s original intended course. Active head restraints in the car also prevent injury in a rear-impact accident to allow the driver and front passenger’s heads to move forward and up in a fraction of a second.

 

Other safety features include Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure, front side airbags with passenger side occupant position detection system, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake distribution, side curtain airbags, dual-side, multiple-threshold front airbags, and outboard lower anchors and tethers for children.

 

Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters also come in every 2013 Honda Fit, allowing the driver to shift the car manually with more ease with the paddles mounted to the steering wheel. The Drive-by-Wire throttle system is also on the vehicle, it allows the engine response to be optimized for each driving condition.

 

The 2013 Honda Fit comes with a 117-hp, 1.5 liter, 16-valve SOHC i-VTEC engine for plenty of horsepower and for better fuel efficiency. It has 106 pound feet of torque at 4800 rpm.
